I have officially been working in my studio for three months now. Each time I enter this space I feel so much gratitude and peace. As I have mentioned before, I had visualized this space for years back when it was a dusty old storage shed. I would go in to grab a rake or shovel and think about the placement of my wheel and where I would like to have a window to let more light in. The fact that it is a reality is still new and precious to me.

I have also come to the point, after months of moving things around and continually making small changes, where I finally have systems in place and my work flow makes sense. I have shelving and work tables and storage for glazes and packing supplies. It is such a pleasure to have everything under one roof and makes my business run almost seamlessly.

On May 1st I will be hosting my first Open Studio. This day I will be selling my wares on my property - mostly outside in my back yard -but will also have the studio open for people to come through and peep on my work space. I am proud of this small atelier and look forward to sharing it along with all of my new work.
